Our clients are usually going through probate for the first and only time. So it’s normal to feel overwhelmed by this process. That’s exactly why you have us – to take care of every little step and keep you informed of what’s coming next.
Here’s a brief overview of how this works:
The Attorney Sets the Overall Plan
The attorney oversees the entire legal case. Once it’s determined that the home needs to be sold, we’re brought in to manage the real estate side.
We Run the Real Estate Side of the Process
We handle every step of the real estate process while coordinating with your attorney, the court, and any other involved parties.
Probate Sale Timeline
- The home is listed for at least two weeks.
- An offer is accepted — that becomes the starting price for the court hearing.
- The court sets a date to review and confirm the sale.
- At the hearing, other buyers can place higher bids (overbidding).
- The court approves the sale and escrow opens for 30 days.
- Escrow ends and the sale closes.
- Funds go into the estate and are distributed later by the attorney.
